As a Glasgow "southsider" born and bred, my town is a fantastic place to live.
The city is a pleasant mix of unostentatious elegant suburbs located next to ones that are more downbeat .
The countryside around the city is also particularly varied ranging from pastoral Ayrshire, to the highland landscape of Stirling and the shores of the Clyde all of which is superb subject matter for the landscape painter.
